  • Whether you’re a new or experienced registered nurse, our leadership team will always look out for you. If you’re newly registered, you’ll join our preceptorship programme, where you’ll team up with a mentor and develop your skills on monthly study days. And if you’re more experienced, our links with the University of Hertfordshire provide excellent clinical research and CPD opportunities.

    We can offer a range of CPD opportunities to become a Practice Educator, a Best Interests Assessor or an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP).  In Hertfordshire HPFT is also a member of a multiagency  Social Work Teaching Partnership (linked with the Tavistock & Portman and the University of Hertfordshire) which aims to provide high quality training for students and qualified social workers    You can also develop your practice and knowledge around mental health specific interventions through a variety of accredited courses supported by HPFT.

    Join us and work in community mental health services, inpatient and rehab teams, wellbeing teams, crisis services, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, services for older people, or one of our other specialist teams.

  • We offer a wide range of clinical and non-clinical apprenticeships. All provide a well-structured programme of training, development, support and mentoring.

    We offer a range of apprenticeships that will support your development throughout your career. These may be designed to enhance your skills in a support worker role as well as provide apprenticeship routes to become a registered health and care member of staff. This includes, nursing, Allied Health Professions, social work and psychological therapies.

  • Psychological therapists are an essential part of the HPFT team.  We employ all sorts of psychological therapies staff and offer lots of opportunities to train and qualify as psychological professionals, including training opportunities for those who want to take their next career steps within psychological therapies.    We have strong links with our local university and offer many opportunities to keep learning and extending your skills- which is why we are such a fantastic place to start and progress your career.

  • We’re a busy Trust with a wide range of hospital- and community-based services, which means we always need experienced and skilled healthcare professionals to join our bank team.

    We need temporary staff across 60 sites throughout Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Norfolk and North Essex, which means we’ll be able to place you locally – reducing travel time and costs.
